Spectral Island

I worked on Spectral Island as the narrative designer and writer. I was responsible for developing the story concept and the setting and writing the dialogue.

Spectral Island is a 2D adventure game about rediscovering one's lost friendships and reflecting on their past actions in the hopes of becoming a better person.

 

The player character is lost on an island and encounters the lost souls of friends they wronged in the past. They interact with the lost souls in a dialogue battle, where the souls' HP is dependent upon the dialogue choices the player makes.

This game was created for the Global Game Jam 2021 in the USC Games chapter. The theme was "lost and found."
